Whale is a small hamlet built around a village green, on the eastern edge of the Lake District in a area that resembles the Dales, with limestone cliffs and attractice stone-built villages.
Directions: Whale is on a minor road that leaves the main road from Askham to Bampton just to the south ot Askham and runs along the eastern side of the River Lowther.
