Berneray is a small island off the north coast of North Uist, connected to the larger island by road. The island is famous for the three mile long beach that covers the west and northern coasts, while most of the inhabitants live on the east coast, at Borgh, Ruisigearraidh and Baile. There is also a harbour on this coast.
