Bridge of Balgie is a hamlet about half way up Glen Lyon that contains the only shop in the glen, the Glen Lyon Post Office and Tea Room. The post office is on the north bank of the River Lyon. The bridge itself leads to a road south that runs across the mountains to Loch Tay.
